Well, I was working on farming (insert yawn), but after reading and seeing so many people getting banned while not using 3rd party programs, and claiming they were just farming or what-not... kinda doing nothing to prep now.
Since I don't buy from other players, I'm not to worried about the typical price gouging. I just sat at the traders when I started in factions and waited for the items to show up. Slowly they did and I got what I needed.

well i'm working on getting the tyrian titles now for my ranger
(a tyrian character who i took through cantha first)

so now all i need to do is kill glint and a few other bonuses and get 12.2% more on my map... and i've just started with that... after i get 4/5 for KOABD on him i'll move on and either re-make my monk (i don't like the way she looks anymore) or just farm mats.

Skill Points is something I need :\ I TOTALLY raped my supply of Skill Points with Faction's No Skill Quest crap.

I MIGHT have 20 skill points left spread across all of my characters with good access (only 3 characters are far into the pve side, and only 1 has beat factions).

I noticed Dyes didnt change that much, and its too hard to note which materials will fall and which will get expensive.

Perf Axe and Sword mods are a good investment, those always rocket up at chapter release, to fill new skinned weapons with them

Well lets see I'm saving money for armor, weapons, etc. I've also already reserved the name I wish to use for my new character. I have some black dye held back and alot of crafting materials. I just hope all of my hoarding isnt in vain.

I'm at a pretty full storage of crafting materials and woking on the KoBD title with the tyrian/canthan maps done and mission/bonus 2 left THK, RoF and far too many masters left in cantha. Oh, of course the elite title too.

I would the first thing when i get Night Fall is finish the game with one of my main characters to get all the good things at the end if there are any like when factions had the amulet traders. So i can map out the place as much as i can and farm all the good things first.

But the question is do you guys think i should save my ectos and sell when the price might raise when ppl buy Paragon/Dervish FoW or sell now? And what about Ruby and Saphire, should i stock up on those?

I've already started saving gold and the materials I salvage. Also I've considered possible names to use for my Dervish.

I'm not doing much but saving up money, materials, and some dye.

I plan to be back at a million gold when it comes out, to waste on anything and everything I can .

Well, I've been farming a lot for FoW, but then I gave up because i fell in love witht the 15k Luxon Female Monk, and bought everything for my monk to be ready for PvP and still have 300k in storage...Im almost stuck with 250 of most materials except ectos and shards...I have loads of skill points so i can't really be better prepared... I already have all factions monk elites on my monk, so ill now focus on 100% explored, so i can do Elona and Tyria then, and having 3 100% would rock =DDD

I'll just buy some materials i may find usefull before the prices go sky rocketing, and keep on farming till i reach 999k =D

With 999k, if ectos go down, i can make A LOT of cash, not to mention i can buy any type of materials easily...About dyes, i have about 20 of each except black ones, so i don't need to get prepared on that field.

Hope the Dervish FoW doesnt suck as bad as the Assasin one.

I lucked out last month when my brother gave me his 3 accounts. Now I have 16 character slots as mules. I know its sick. I made 2.1 million off of steel when factions came out. 5000 ingots at 400g a pop. I plan on being the first Guild Wars billionaire.

P.S don't whisper me begging. I am by far the biggest miser in the game.

just call me scrooge I guess

Same is this guy/gal im stocking up on steel most of all because they really flew up. I wont spend my life savings on monstrous items.... I learned the hardway when faction came out . O well, I suggest that no one stocks up on items with no use, only buy common materials like tanned hides and cloth because everyone will rush to get new armors.

ADDED: Im at 125k and want to get to 180k so i can get 15k armor for mesmer, warrior, and Paragon. Yes i know this will not include masks because I dont belive the juice is worth the squeeze when it comes to helmets.

Finishing Tyria with all my Canthan characters who haven't done it yet, trying to gather some money (180k+ atm) and saving up good elementalist weapons for my Elonian ele... that kinda covers it.

I don't really have to worry about money much -_- close to 2.5mill(2 accounts) in gold and about 7-800k in rare mats(which aren't selling due to my goal).
My main worry about the coming nightfall is that I might not be able to complete the material tab(for main account) by then(250 of all mats). It takes an absurb amount of glitter dust(which gets annoying to spam to buy) to complete the full damask, deldrimor, vial of glass, ink lines. I found a way to farm spiritwood, which relieves some spending issues as its not economical to buy or especially to create them, and this goes the same for linen, although buying them is the way to go, but they're rare. Man I wish I didn't sell all my monster items -_-

My bank is getting common mats, as to which one, well, look for the ones which aren't widely used, as they could be the next big thing, like chitin for example, near worthless in tyria then became the hottest in factions. Pretty much it, most people really aren't gonna get rich off mats unless they buy absurd amounts. Rubies and sapphs could be the next ectos but its quite a gamble, one which I took a part of in a sense, but mainly to try and fill out my mat tab ^^ I could simply just buy all the mats I wanted right now and fill her up, but it would require spending ludicrous amounts of golds, and I'm a bit of a scrooge -_- seeing less than 900k in the storage makes me sweat, heck, anything less than 1000k looks terribly ugly, it looks so odd.

Out of my chars, my warrior and monk will never have to worry about skill pts, but my ranger and necro will -_- My sin wont really need it, but maybe I should complete all of cantha for all them.
